Cargill offers some of the most sporting Salmon fishing in Scotland. In 2011 season Cargill again produced numerous Salmon over 20lbs and the largest Salmon from the Tay for a second consecutive season a 40lb cock fish.

Cargill is one of the most productive and best known beats for salmon fishing on the river Tay. The beat is divided into two double bank beats, upper and lower Cargill which are fished on alternate days. 2012 season anglers will fish the upper beat on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and the lower beat Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
