Willowgate Cafe

a relaxing cafe on the shores of the River Tay

A welcome retreat on the River Tay providing award winning fresh food.

Open Wednesday - Sunday 9am - 4pm

Originally known as Lymie Hauge Salmon Fishing Station, housing 12 men working 2 shifts netting Salmon from February - August. Once netting ceased on the Tay most bothies fell into disrepair and were prone to vandalism. David Clarke of Tay Salmon Fisheries set about bringing the bothies back to life working tirelessly with colleagues transforming Lymie Hauge netting station into the wonderful Willowgate Cafe you can enjoy today.

Willowgate Cafe

A fabulous day on the river learning the art of Salmon fishing. Wonderful company and top class Ghillie. Thoroughly enjoyable even if my wife did land her Salmon while mine was the "one that got away".
