Cargill lies 9 miles north of the Fair City of Perth on the A93. Perth is connected by the M90 from Edinburgh, the A9 from Glasgow and Inverness and the A90 from Aberdeen.

To reach Perth by rail is quite easy with a direct link running daily from London Kings Cross together with links from the major Scottish cities. Collection can be arranged.

Local Directions To Upper And Lower Beats 2013

Cargill Upper ( Monday / Wednesday / Friday )  Take the A93 north from Perth to Blairgowrie. After passing through Guildtown travel a further 3 miles then there will be a sign post pointing left to Cargill. Follow this narrow road for a few hundred yards to ''Tay Cottage'' (white Cottage) . Turn down the track to the left of the cottage and follow to the lunch hut.

Cargill Lower ( Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday )   Take the B9099 road leading north from Stanley after a few hundred yards turn right at the sign for Kinclaven / Blairgowrie / Ballathie Hotel. After traveling 2.5 miles turn right into the Ballathie House Hotel grounds. Follow the drive until you come to a track leading off to the right then take an immediate left turn on to a further track which will take you down to the lunch hut.
